Karin Hurt and David Dye, best-selling authors of “Winning Well: A Managers’ Guide to Getting Results Without Losing Your Soul,” will keynote the 2017 HR Summit & Expo Asia while engaging in community building and a book tour through Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Cambodia this April and May.
Washington, D.C. — Southeast Asia is one of the world’s fastest growing regions, yet nearly two-thirds of its executives say their organizations can’t develop leaders fast enough to capitalize on growth. To help bridge the gap, U.S. leadership experts and authors Karin Hurt and David Dye are spending two months in the region, bringing C-level and emerging managers their award-winning leadership techniques.
“The rapid-growth environment in Southeast Asia can lead to what we call ‘leadership soul-loss’,” say Hurt and Dye, who have philanthropic ties to the region through their Winning Wells clean water initiative. “As C-level managers are pressed from above to produce results and from below to connect with and develop their people, it can feel like a rigged game in which nothing they do is good enough. Fortunately, there are techniques to help them win well, and get lasting results without losing their souls in the process.”
On April 26, Hurt and Dye will partner with Thriving Talents for a L.E.A.D. Mastery Winning Well Masterclass in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in which they’ll conduct intensive workshops with C-level leaders, providing them with tools to develop a Winning Well culture as a sustainable competitive advantage. Workshops will also be provided by Michael Teoh, Malaysia’s National Youth Icon and Millennial expert, and Mallery Loone, recently recognized as Young Training Leader of the Year 2017 by the World Human Resources Congress Awards in Mumbai, India.
On April 27, Hurt and Dye will speak to 400 emerging leaders at Cyberjaya University, offering students a pathway to do well in their careers, run successful businesses, and get results – while also being good human beings. In an interactive half-day workshop entitled “How to Achieve Breakthrough Results Without Losing Your Soul,” the couple will give students leadership techniques to master the art of the tough conversation, influence their future bosses and colleagues, and become known as people who get the right things done the right way.
May 3-4, Hurt and Dye will keynote the HR Summit & Expo Asia 2017 in Singapore, the largest workforce management show in Asia, with the exclusive joint presentation “Winning Well: How to Get Lasting Bottom Line Results Without Losing Your Soul.” Immediately following, on May 5-6, the couple will speak at the Asia Professional Speakers Convention 2017 in Singapore, the continent’s premier convention for professional trainers and facilitators.
“We are delighted to bring the Winning Well techniques to Southeast Asia,” say Hurt and Dye. “We’ve been committed to the region’s well-being philanthropically for some time. It’s an honor to contribute our professional expertise, as well.”
During their time in the region, Hurt and Dye will travel extensively, partnering on a number of community building projects with Together We Can Change the World, a local non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of women and children in Thailand and Cambodia. The couple will also visit and further develop their Winning Wells clean water projects.
